The effects of cultural globalization on the life of women throughout the past three decades are undeniable. Muslim women, like all their peers across the world, have been affected by that but what Muslim{ }women, like all their peers across the world, have been affected by{ }that but what exactly these effects been and what challenges are they facing now?
Malcom{ }Waters, author of the book titled "Globalization” defined globalization{ }as any achievement or change which gathers the world people in a{ }unified society. This can naturally be in terms of economic, political{ }or cultural arenas.

Since{ }the most important point in globalization is information and{ }communication and these are particularly in hands of the dominant power{ }of the US and its western allies, then they become the source for all{ }cultural approaches injected into the world.

That{ }is the reason for gradual growth of new meanings and new lifestyles. In{ }fact attractive meanings with flashy appearances are professionally{ }planned by communication, psychology and sociology experts. They{ }unanimously aim at imposing a unified pattern to the whole world. The{ }economic result of that for multinational corporations is an easier sale{ }and the political outcome of the effort for the dominant pole is{ }brainwash of the nations for looting their wealth.
Now how is the situation for the Muslim women
when many of these meanings and approaches are in contrast with Islamic teachings?
I{ }believe that, except for a few number who have enough religious and{ }scientific knowledge, Muslim women have been affected by the western{ }imported meanings to the point that the majority of contemporary women{ }can be classified within two groups, those who have shown a green light{ }to the western modern changes and have taken them as the main entrance{ }towards development and freedom in contrast to those who have resisted{ }the meanings taking them as derivations of corruption and atheism.
The fact is that the dangers for the resisting second group have not been less than the
positive answer of the first one. The ability to divide the good from the
bad{ }for the former{ }and a lack of rationality to confront the western{ }values for the latter was the main reason for that categorization.

This{ }situation prevailed societies until the victory of the 1979 Islamic{ }Revolution which provided a new pattern for Muslim women. This was the{ }pattern of a woman who, in her thoughts and lifestyle, followed concrete{ }patterns like Hazrat Zahra (AS), daughter of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

An{ }Iranian Muslim woman managed to project her image as an eastern woman{ }in the beginning of Islam, a woman who neither denied her role within{ }the family, nor shined her duties as the successor of God on earth{ }carrying her own burden in pace with the men. No sooner had she taken{ }her new role than the women in other societies followed her model when{ }hijab prevailed to surprise all those who witnessed the prevalence of{ }cultural globalization.
Wearing{ }hijab took an unbelievable rising turn among working or educating women{ }and also more girls wearing Islamic hijab were involved in social{ }activities.

Challenges Ahead of Women:

Each and every{ }Muslim woman is obliged to try and erase the inaccurate meanings which,{ }under the name of Islam, have kept women behind.

Muslim woman{ }has to set an example, for the rest of women, by carrying out her social{ }as well as family responsibilities wholeheartedly and raise open minded{ }children capable of facing challenges with brevity and{ }self-confidence.

It is also a duty for a Muslim woman to achieve{ }a high level in chastity to be able to attend all scientific and{ }practical arenas in line with Islamic values.
